About Boise
Boise is a big city with country charm. If anyone asks me how I like living in Boise.  I tell them that it is big, but not to big.  It offers about any restuarant, shopping, and sporting event that one could ask for.

The population of Boise as of June 2002 is 190,750.   In any given neighborhood you will find squirrels running around and occasionally you may find ducks in your front yard. Boise is covered in trees of every kind.

Boise is a very diverse city and crime rate is pretty low considering the size of the city.  Check out the communtiy profile.  Here you can get specific's on crime rate, age demographics, a wealth breakdown and other helpful information about Boise's Demographics.

Boise's elevation is perfect at 2,842 feet.  The climate is also perfect.  Boise doesn't receive a lot of snow, and the annual precipitation is 12.11 in.  If we do receive snow, it is usually gone with in a day.  So, if you like snow, but you don't like it to stick around, Boise is the place to be.  We do receive plenty of snow up in the mountains at our local ski resort.

Boise has many fun family activities to do come rain or shine.
If you a have a few hours during the summer months the Boise River is the place to be.  You can rent a tube or a raft at Barbar Park and float the river.  After your float is over, you can hitch a ride via the shuttle and it will take you back to the park to your vehicle.
